Khao Chi Chan or Buddha Mountain is one of the most prominent landmarks in Pattaya. Stands around 130 meters, this huge golden Buddha image can be seen from miles away. Officially called as Phra Phuttha Maha Wachira Uttamopat Satsada, came into existence in the year 1996.

The Buddha image on the mountain was carved using laser technology.  Then it was inlaid with gold leaf, which took months to complete. Khao Chi Chan is said to be one of the biggest Buddha pictures in the world.

Review

Even though Khao Chi Chan is far from the city, it is worth a visit at least once. The beautifully carved Buddha and the surrounding will make you love the place. A great place to take some selfies, Khao Chi Chan makes a perfect Facebook profile image.
