Wat Phra Ya located on the hilltop and the only way up is the stairs.  There are golden dragons on either side of the staircase with its mouth having seven-headed snakes statues or Nagas.

Review

The Big Buddha is visible from the bottom, but once up there the view completely changes. The beautiful view of Pattaya and the Jomtien beach from the hilltop is the best location to relax. Because this is a temple, kindly be respectful. If you would like to pray, just ask around. By the way, look out for that famous yet unique Buddha posture and pose yourself accordingly. You can also ring the line of bells and show your respects. There are fewer stairs to climb so go ahead.
